WPRemix 3.0 to be replaced by 4.0!
Let’s get down to NEW Business,
Our former Marketing Mgr. Paul Simpson is no longer with the company R5 Ltd.. Paul chose to move on with personal pursuits of his own in niche marketing. We at Remix wish Paul well, he was an asset during his tenure with TEAM Remix.
Our programmer is hard at work on WPRemix 4.0. This new release will be fully compatible with WordPress 3.0. Please be patient while we put the finishing touches on the final release. Programming takes time and always lags WordPress for awhile, so check back for updates as to the availability of WPRemix 4.0.
Though WPRemix 3.0 is some what compatible with WordPress 3.0 it does not fully support all of the latest WP features. We do not recommend nor do we support an installation of WordPress 3.0 and WPRemix 3.0, be forewarned.
As a recap of what came before, the 3.0 update of WPRemix became much more stable than ever before.
Here is the short list of the fixes & additions that were made to WP Remix 3.0
- All known code errors fixed.
- The send to editor function fixed.
- The seo options that the previous management began installing have been fixed.
- The ability to add custom links in navigation bar from the theme options area has been added.
- The ability to disable sidebars on any of the page templates.
Other features currently in progress which didn’t quite make it into the 3.0 update, but will be released in 4.0, here is the short list:
- Enabling comments on pages
- Fully widgetizing the sidebars
- Ability to upload and change header images via the theme admin
Obviously all WordPress themes are an on-going work in progress, WPRemix 4.0 is no exception. You have our continued commitment that WPRemix is here to stay while maintaining it’s prominent status as a “Premium” theme.
Things will improve very soon more that most would expect given some of the growing pains we inherited from the previous theme owners. Look for a lot of improvement in the visual end of support, we are currently working on 250+ video tutorials.
These tutorials have been mentioned casually in the forum from time to time and many months have gone by without any actual roll-out of the videos. Please be a bit more patient for these tutorials to be created, you will not be disappointed.
Communication most importantly will be more frequent and less confusing. What does that mean exactly? It means that the inconsistencies of information on our website will be corrected as well as all grammar. An Affiliates Quarterly Newsletter is being created as well as a separate Technical Bulletin newsletter for customers. These two newsletters alone will be a great enhancement and a proactive way of reaching out to all users of WPRemix.
Whether you are an Affiliate or Customer, please make sure that you “OPT-IN” when you see our newsletter in your email.
Sincerely,
Randy Brown
Product Mgr.

Hi All,
Paul here from the WP Remix team.
If you read the previous post on this blog you will know that an WP Remix update was mentioned almost 2 months ago. During this time a lot has changed behind the scenes at wpremix.
We previously outsourced the management of the wpremix.com website, the theme updates, and support to a company in the USA (We are based in the UK). However around a month ago after numerous complaints about this, we decided to bring everything in-house, with me taking control as manager of WP Remix.
Now I am in full control hopefully things will improve greatly here over the coming months. The release of WP Remix 3.0 is just the beginning of this.
Now onto the WP Remix theme update…
I recently hired a full time programmer called Tamil, and for the past 2 weeks he has been working to ensure the transition to Wordpress 2.8 for WPRemix users, will be as easy as possible. As a result WP Remix 3.0 is fully functional on both Wordpress 2.8 and 2.7.
As a result of the update, the Wpremix theme now comes with a tabbed theme options panel which you can see in the screen shot below:

Here is a list of the other fixes/additions included inside WP Remix 3.0
- All know code errors fixed.
- The send to editor function fixed.
- The seo options that the previous management began installing have been fixed.
- The ability to add custom links in navigation bar from the theme options area has been added.
- The ability to disable sidebars on any of the page templates.
Other features currently in progress which haven’t quite made it into this update, but will be released soon are:
- Enabling comments on pages
- Fully widgetizing the sidebars
- Ability to upload and change header images via the theme admin
Obviously we would have liked to get much more included, but our main priority this time around was to stabilize the functions that were already in the theme, and make sure WPRemix would be fully compatible with Wordpress 2.8.
I hope you all enjoy using this new version of WP Remix and I look forward to reading your comments and feedback.

WPRemix – Change In Ownership
R5 Ltd has now taken full ownership of WPRemix
Users, Developers And Affiliates
Paul here, Project Manager for R5 Ltd that will be overseeing WPRemix and our other WordPress related projects in the future.
First, just a few words about R5 Ltd. We’re an ambitious, new and growing company specializing in webmaster services and online digital marketing and advertising with a heavy emphasis on blogging and new social media.
We are hugely excited to announce that we took full control of the WPRemix site last month, but we first got our hands on the site at the start of this year where we made a number of quick and crucial changes!
We’ve listened to market feedback, and we knew we had to clean up the customer service issues. We have set the wheels in motion for this and have employed an excellent customer service and technical team who are looking after the site and all your customer service needs. We’re exceptionally grateful to have them on board and thank them for their continued hard work.
We’ve also doubled the affiliate commissions on our affiliate program to a whopping 50%! Again, we’d like to thank all of our affiliates, past, present and future for their excellent hard work and if you ever need to get in touch with us here at the head office, feel free to get in touch with me personally at paul@r5ltd.co.uk.
I would also like to take a minute to thank Bhavesh on behalf of R5 for his extraordinary work on the WPRemix product and for selling us this impressive website. And I would like to echo Bhavesh’s recent blog post by confirming he will continue to be involved in this project in the background and his distinctive creative and technical abilities will always be put to good use!
So having taken a look at the recent past of WPRemix, it’s now time to look bravely forward to the future of this website. What are we going to be doing over the next few months?
There’s a full time technical and support team in place now to improve customer service and any tech issues that arise and they’re also hard at work on the next version of WPRemix which should be launching in the next few weeks.
We’re also hard at work growing the WPRemix affiliate program and increasing our presence online as well as looking at additional features and services to add to WPRemix so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Another area we’ll be concentrating on in the near future is the customer service and support. We know there have been issues with this in the past and we have already invested a significant amount of money, time and energy in improving this. To this end, if you feel any area of the service has not met your needs or expectations, please feel free to contact me directly at paul@r5ltd.co.uk. I can’t help you with specific support issues (such as “where is my password”) but if you have had any problems with your experience and order process, and have a constructive comment or suggestion to make, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Once again, thank you to Bhavesh for allowing us to purchase a very special website, and thank you to all of our customers, partners and friends for making this; such a successful website and theme. Feel free to post your comments below and I’ll be happy to get back to you as and when I see them.
Talk soon
Paul
Change of management, Improved WP Remix
If you are a regular user of wpremix support forum, you might have noticed that things are improving at wpremix website since quite a time. And the improvements are for the good for wpremix and it’s users.
I released the first version of wpremix theme in December 2007. Things improved instantly at my freelance career and wpremix started taking most of my time which I really enjoyed. Over the period of the year, I improved featured at wpremix, introduced revolutionary page template editor functionality, released wpremix version 2 with more than double features than earlier version, introduced support forum, released videos, member area and so on.
As the user base grew, so was the support queries, feature request and other daily chores that took almost all of my time. At the same time, I wasn’t prepared to handle everything. Sometime, that resulted in annoyance of the customer. I tried my best to keep up with the things and realized it was not possible for me to handle everything single handedly. Also I was beginning to feel that wpremix needs a good team that can improve the things and handle everything professionally.
And I decided to handover wpremix to someone for better of everyone.
The change of management started taking place since 31st December, 2008. A professional, knowledgeable and caring team is now taking care of wpremix. Its been one month and I have noticed that everything is going on smoothly. In fact, the things are improving and I am happy and satisfied about this.
I know there might be questions and critics about this move. I will start blogging at my portfolio site – cssace.com and everyone is welcome to ask any questions they may have. I will try best to respond in best manner I can.
I would like to thank all the customers, bloggers, critics and all those who helped making wpremix a good success. Oh, did I mention that I am not running away? I am working with the new management and I am here to help any and every way I can.
